so we ran out of food, the big boy just likes to eat and eat. He has decided to try his fingers out...I keep telling him that there are no quarterbacks missing fingers in the NFL, but he says there is still a chance to pitch in MLB...

Christmas tree
Rocky VI by the Grace of God
No really, I guess Sly Stallone has found a relationship with God.
I hope it's true.
I also hope he quits boxing. He is getting a little old...

Packers 23 Vikings 17
Well well well
Look who is in 2nd place in the NFC North. Of course it's not saying much because the NFC is full of parity. I mean come on, who is really afraid of the Big Bad Bears? They were down by like 100 points to the Arizona Cardinals. Come on, the Arizone Cardinals?
Favre is playing well, McCarthy is a solid coach, Ahman Green has revived his career, the young players are gaining confidence and experience, and the defense is playing well. All in all, you have to feel comfortable with where this team is headed.
I have a feeling that the games against St. Louis and Buffalo will come back to bite them in the end. But let's relive one more great moment in Packer-Viking history.
Train a child in the way he should go
Parenting is so important. You are the love of God to your child. It is so important to teach your children about who God is, the manifestation of His love in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sins, and obeying God through our actions.
I am teaching Isaac on how to live and how to play the new Bible game on PS2.
just kidding it's really Madden 2006.

Opening Presents before Christmas
So i didn't think moving Sadie's bed to the room with the presents would be a good idea. Yesterday I came home and went to see her, and I saw this sight. I quickly asked Jennifer if she had given Sadie her Christmas present. She said she hadn't. I told Jenn to go check on our dog. Yes, here is Sadie, after opening her present. There is the wrapping paper that she opened. Reminds me of a certain girl in Michigan that always liked to peak at her presents early...
we are keeping the presents away from Isaac.

Romans 8
Romans 8:1 tells us that there is no judgement, no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The middle of the chapter tells us why, that God chose us and he predestined us. The end of Romans 8 Paul tells us that that nothing could separate us from the love of God.
Eternal Security: what a wonderful truth of Scripture. I do not need to feel worry or doubt because God has saved me and sealed me. The assurance of salvation is as important to understand as salvation itself. If I could lose my salvation, then what good is the salvation in the first place? Romans 8 tells me very practically, that salvation is through the finished work of the cross, where Jesus Christ took our place.

Pack Attack
Well, we lost another one yesterday. I say "we" because I feel partly responsible for the loss.
As our boy Favre was driving for the game winning touchdown, I could feel the all the years of glory and victory returning to Lambeau field. I was so excited, I could taste victory. And that is when I did it, I cost us the game. How you ask?
I did the touchdown dance. Yes, I did the touchdown dance before they scored. I picked up Isaac and was holding him and we were laughing and dancing together. It felt like 1997 all over again. Favre was 27 and winning 3 MVP's, and Brooks and Freeman and Dorsey and Edgar were scoring touchdowns, and Chmura wasn't in jail yet, and Reggie was sacking the QB and proclaiming Jesus Christ...
But it's not 1997. It's 2006, and those guys are gone. Well, Brett got hit, ball popped out, and the big lineman from Green Bay couldn't hang on to the ball. I know he feels bad, but it sure looked liked the old game "grease watermelon". Well the Rams got the ball, and the Packers lost. And Isaac cried. and cried. and cried.

what a day!
here is our little boy. the life of a little infant. sleep, eat, smile, watch baseball on Fox. The first photo is of the elders laying hands on him, blessing him for the rest of his life. (actually it's his first visit to the chiropractor) the next photo is of Isaac falling asleep on daddy's chest (and Sadie licking her lips, wanting a piece of Isaac) the third photo is of Isaac's response when I told him that he was getting a new cousin soon!!

How do cowboys say hello?
This little feller will someday grow up to be a Texas Ranger, the last of the good cowboys. some of his favorite things to do are :
1) lasso lab beagle dogs
2) shoot the bad guys (but never draw blood, just sting their hand for a few)
3) ride white stallions
4) be a gentleman (when he meets a nice lady he takes his hat off, gives a half bow, and says "howdy")
no one was hurt in the taking of this picture...

Happy Birthday Chuggy
Happy Birthday to my little sister Chuggy. I will not use real names to protect the innocent.
I would like to add that this is her 27th birthday. I miss her so.
funniest things she has ever done:
1) dress up as santa claus to pick us up from airport ("i wouldn't put it past her"
2) flagging a police officer down to report a non damage bump and run on her
3) when i got pulled over by a police officer at the age of 16 she wouldn't fork over the $10 to help pay the ticket
4) she liked to drive around the house
5) she likes to sneak up on people on the airport
6) she likes to get in other people's pictures on vacation
7) she once dated walt disney's great grandson
8) she was picked #1 in the 3rd of the WNBA draft.
9) she was offered the princess/queen role in Star Wars I and II.
10) she once picked up so much weight it caused a severe injury.
so anyway, regardless of these truths and lies,
happy birthday chuggy
love your brother

Tribond
Let's go Brew Crew
The Brewers won a big game yesterday in St. Louis. Here is my favorite player, Carlos Lee, saving the home run (and the loss) in the 10th inning. so What does Carlos Lee do in the top of the 11th inning? The picture on top is a home run trot in extra innings to win the game. So here is the tribute to the Panamanian Cattle rancher/baseball player!
