Just put the bunny Down

So once again, I have encountered a "famous" person. See, I was raised in southern Illinois, a rural area. We never encountered anyone who was in
TV or the movies. So when I come across people in NYC, I am always a little suprised. It has been well noted in other blogs, that I have seen Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson, Alyssa Milano, Joe Torre, and President Bush's motorcade. Now to be added to this list: Mr Nicholas Cage.
As Ben and I were walking down 5th ave, i heard this whispering "nic cage, nic cage". I look up to see Mr. Nicholas Cage and his wife? (we don't really know who was with him because we couldn't believe it was him). Mr. Cage made eye contact with me and we kept walking in the opposite direction. The funny thing is, in NYC, everyone looks down or straight. Therefore, he could virtually go unnoticed while walking down 5th ave without a disguise. However, I am from rural Illinois, so I try to be nice to everyone. Therefore I am always looking to say hi or give the proverbial nod of the head. Anyway, this is the face I saw, maybe with less smirk.
The funny part of the whole story is Ben kept referring to him as "Nic Cage" (as if he knows him personally)!!

Nick Cage does nothing for me - but you saw Adam Sandler? I love him! My husband would be sooo jealous that you saw Alyssa Milano.
Please tell him that she is not so pretty in person!! haha
Glad that you and Ben had a nice time!

Karly, How many times did we see ConAir? Before I saw that movie, I thought it was going to be about basketball. Did Ben watch that movie with us, too? Remember when the movie burnt up in the movie theatre? "what's wrong with him? My guess....a lot"

No I don't think Ben watched it with us. I really wish you were there, because then we could have reenacted the entire movie for him. you should have been here. we have the room all ready for you

ps sorry that you confused this movie with "Air up There", AirBud Golden Reciever, or Angels in the Outfield

Bloggers...did you know that Nic Cage once had a tooth pulled without anathesia so he could feel what his character felt...I do not know the movie it was for...

God bless,
Ben

Ben...did you know that nic cage had his face chopped off so he knew what his character felt like in the hit movie "Face Off"? Actually, I just made that up.

Karl...I'm going to go see Mat Kearney in concert! Remember when I bought you that cd because I actually wanted it?

Karl,
That eye contact thing sounds sketchy. From what I understand celebrities are always having problems with stalking (other people), so you should be careful. I recently had an ugly run-in with Lindsay Lohan, for example.

Hey Kevin, thanks for the advice....what happen with LL?

ps....Nic Cage did look right at Karl.....I saw Nic coming toward us and I quick put my head down and said under my breath, "Nic Cage , Nic Cage"...Then Karl just looked and the reason Nic looked right at Karl is because he saw that I noticed him and was whispering to my friend next to me, which has probably happened to him 1,000 times before. So it is my fault for the whole incident, although, he didn't seem upset, seemed like a nice guy.

God bless,
Ben
